London is an amazing city – that’s the simplest truth. The first time I fell in love with this city is when I came here on a school trip 7 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. The moment we came out of Westminster station and my eyes locked onto Big Ben – that was it. The feeling of walking up the steps of the station and seeing that incredibly famous landmark was all it took. It doesn’t seem real until you are standing right there, across the road from this building and that’s when I knew – I was in an amazing city where everything happens.

That is all it took for me to fall in love with London. Yes, the weather is bipolar, and it’s cold 11 months of the year – but when you’re in London – you know that you’re in the middle of the world’s heartbeat. That’s the feeling that I get. The morning rush, the madness of the London underground, the random people, the weird outfits, the free newspapers, the heat of the underground, the celebrity spotting and exotic foods from around the world. London has never failed to surprise me – and that is why I love this city.

Is there any place in the world where you feel that anything is possible? When was the first time you fell in love with it? If you have  – then you know exactly what I mean. Share your experiences with your comments! 🙂
